Powerstar Zeus DIT
The Professional Sound Corporation Zeus DIT Powering System is the result of a collaboration between PSC and the members of the DIT WIT Facebook Group. PSC would like to thank all of the members of the DIT WIT group for sharing their knowledge and experience which greatly helped with the design criteria for this power system. This new power system is the result of nearly two years of design, testing and development.
The PSC Zeus DIT has been specifically designed with the needs of a DIT in mind. This new design handles the extreme power needs of DITs in the field. It incorporates three, redundant 600-watt power supplies for a total AC power availability of up to 1800 watts. This is three times the amount of power provided by our original Zeus design. This new design uses ten (10) 98WH or 99 WH “Smart” batteries for powering everything while you wait for the electric department to bring you AC power. These removable Smart Batteries allow for easy airline travel as these 98 or 99 WH batteries can be carried on board airplanes and stowed in the overhead luggage bins.
The internal 1800 watts of AC power supplies is engineered to provide up to 500 watts to charge the ten, removable Smart Batteries. An additional 300 watts of power is available to operate your 12Vdc equipment. There also are two 28 Volt outputs at up to 300 watts each for powering the latest, high brightness, sunlight readable video monitors. Also included are standard USB power outputs both as USB A and USB C as well as a USB PD3.1 140-watt output for operating your MacBook or other high-power USB PD3.1 compatible device. Last, but not least this design incorporates an internal AC power invertor that can output up to 400 Watts of AC power.
Housed in a 2 space rack style aircraft aluminum housing with black powder coat finish. The design features a slow turning, very quiet 120mm DC fan for proper thermal management. The AC power input is handled via a Neutrik PowerCon connector and supplied 12AWG AC cable. The unit includes heavy duty rack mounting brackets that can be installed either flush or offset for connector and cable clearance in your rack to either the front or back of the unit.
